We welcome applications or nominations for:
Events
- A sub-team is appointed for each event, and the events co-ordinator takes the lead on preparing and running the event, or delegating this responsibility to someone within the team.
- This person works closely with the Secretary as well as the other board members to ensure that meeting dates, agendas, and minutes as well as events are communicated to all trainees in the network.
- They are responsible for the Network email account, although other board members may use it as necessary.
Delegate for the national Trainee Representative Group (two posts available, to attend alternating meetings)
- The TRG meets three times a year at the National School in Birmingham, and consists of STPs who represent their Themes (Life/Physical/Physiological) as well as those of us representing the Regional Networks. Travel expenses are reimbursed by the NSHCS. The meetings are really interesting and a great way to be first to hear about exciting STP developments nationwide, as well as to meet other trainees from across the country.
Social
- This person has responsibility for organising and publicising social events, including an annual Christmas party.
Welfare
- This role is a first point of contact for any trainees experiencing difficulties, either just as a listening ear, or to point them in the right direction if they need further advice.
Board Member
- This is a flexible role that shows commitment to the Network Board, to attending meetings and to supporting other members in their more specific roles. It is an ideal initial role for a new member, with scope to progress to more responsibility for a particular aspect of the Board's work.
Would you like to suggest another role that you think you would thrive in?
Being part of the Network Board is an excellent way to achieve multiple professional practice competences, to be the first to hear about NSHCS initiatives, and to get to know other trainees in the region. It also provides a competitive edge at interviews, as the skills and experience you gain are well-regarded by employers. Contact eoehcs@gmail.com for any further information.
